Today Patrick was selected by his teacher to receive an accademic award. He was presented with a certificate, a pencil, a bumper sticker, and a bear in front of the entire 4th and 5th grades. When he walked into the gym and saw MC and me, he said “God, not again”.

Here is a picture from the state soccer shootout. If you look by Michael’s foot there is a patch of mud. This really screwed him up. He placed 3rd in the state.

Patrick won this bike by writing an essay about the dangers of drugs and peer pressure. The kids were given 1 week to write their essays. Patrick’s was not saved properly on the school computer. He had to re-write it the day before it was due. He wrote the 1st place essay in about 20 mins.

I took this picture at the Annual Balloon Festival. The night glow is my favorite part. Once again this year we had a soccer game the morning of one of the launches. Thankfully, we are out of the under six age group. It is hard to coach when the kids are looking up and not at the ball.
